KOZHIKODE: Kozhikode district administration has placed 130
non resident Keralites
(NRKs) under 14-day quarantine. The NRKs were brought home under
Vande Bharath Mission
of the Union government. Out of 130 expatriates, 42 of them are kept under observation at the
Covid Care Centres
and remaining 88 of them are kept in home isolation. Out of 130, 30 are pregnant women.
A total of 41 expatriates arrived in Kozhikode on May 9 and 10. Out of this, one arrived from Kuwait on May 9 ; 11 from Muscat and remaining 29 from Doha here on Sunday. Three people arrived from Doha and eight from Muscat were shifted to Covid care centres of the district administration and remaining 30 were sent to home isolation.
21 persons from Kozhikode including two women arrived by ship from Maldives in Kochi on the day.
District administration informed that they will be brought to Kozhikode district by the vehicles arranged by the administration. They will be shifted to Covid care centres of the district administration once they reach Kozhikode.
