, 60, Pallppram Muhammed Navas, 36, Pallipram /ibrahimkutty, 44, Pallipram Mujeeb Rahman, 35, Thayyil Saidalavi, 67, Pallippram Abduhaji, 60, Thayyil Moideen Kutty, 65, Pallippram Abdul Rasheed, 46 and Amariyil Beeran, 70, are the accused of the case who have been sentenced for rigorous imprisonment. Among the total of 11 accused of the case, seventh accused Amariyil Muhammed Haji had died during trial period.

The incident occurred on August 29, Friday. Brothers Abdu and Aboobacker, sons of Muhammad Haji, Pulikkal, were killed and fourteen others suffered injuries in the violence at the Juma Masjid at Aalinkunnu, near Kottakkal.
