District administration has asked fishermen, vendors, auctioneers and workers to take precautions.

As per the restrictions, boats should neither berth or unload fish at the Beypore harbour or the fish landing centres there until another direction is issued nor the facilities there used for auction or sale. Boats that have gone for fishing can berth at Vellayil or Puthiyappa fish landing centre. Fish can be unloaded at these two centres and facilities for sale and auction can be utilised.

Direction has been given to fisheries deputy director and assistant director to close the Beypore facilities temporarily. Fisheries department would utilise VHF and other communication systems to pass on the information to those who have gone fishing.
