‘We all are Bharat Mata’s children’
Kozhikode: While inaugurating a tribal youth exchange programme organized by the Union ministry of youth affairs on Thursday Governor RV Arlekar said that all Indians are brothers and sisters because they are the children of Bharat Mata."We are different in many ways, be it food, language, clothing or lifestyle. When our cricket team wins, we feel it is ours. When people face a disaster in Uttarakhand or TN, we feel a sense of responsibility even if we don't know them personally. Even when meeting someone for the first time, we feel a natural closeness. The purpose of the youth exchange programme is to nurture this very connection," he said.MP MK Raghavan, collector Snehil Kumar Singh, deputy secretary of Union home ministry NS Venkateshwara, Mera Yuva Bharat state director M Anil Kumar spoke. Around 200 youngsters of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and MP are taking part in the programme.
