38th National Games: UP men win silver in artistic gymnastics

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh men's artistic gymnastics team clinched a silver medal at the 38th National Games held in Uttarakhand on Saturday, taking the state's total medal tally to 29. In a thrilling final, UP scored 212.30 points but fell short of Services' score of 214.90. Uttar Pradesh Olympic Association (UPOA) general secretary Anandeshwar Pandey praised the dedication of the squad—comprising Abhijeet Kumar, Aditya Singh Rana, Ashish Kumar, Pranav Kushwaha, and Siddharth Verma—and encouraged them to continue excelling in upcoming events. So far, Uttar Pradesh has won 29 medals at the National Games, including 10 gold, 11 silver, and 8 bronze, and currently ranks 11th in the overall medal tally.Career Lions storm into finalLed by a stellar bowling performance from Ashok Shukla (3 wickets), Career Lions secured their place in the final of the 3rd Adhir Dubey Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament with an 82-run victory over Cricket Buddies Cricket Club at Pandit Ras Bihari Tiwari Stadium on Sunday. Batting first, Career Lions posted 197/6 in their allotted 20 overs, with Ehsan (57) and Uday Singh (52) leading the charge. Mohd. Imran Khan claimed two wickets for Cricket Buddies.
