Gauraiya fest goes ‘magan’ at Anup Jalota’s ‘Aisi laagi lagan’

Lucknow: Singer Anup Jalota sang soulful bhajans on the first day of a 3-day Gauraiya Sanskriti mahotsav organised by Gauraiya Sanskriti Sansthan at UP Sangeet Natak Akademi on Thursday. Jalota sang bhajans such as ‘Meri jhopdi ke bhaag aaj khul jayenge' and ‘Aisi laagi lagan'. He also sang ghazals. Classical singer Shashi Verma gave a musical performance on Tulsidas' work. Pandit Ajay Mishra also sang ghazals. Shreya Shukla (41), who came along with her friend, Runjhun Saaxena (44), said, "We enjoyed bhajans sang by Anupji and bought snacks and pickles", said Shreya. MLA Pawan Singh was present on the occasion.
