Ayodhya fest grabs eyeballs globally
Lucknow: The consecration festival took place in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Nov 25 with the religious flag being hoisted on the temple peak in Ayodhya. Several distinguished guests were invited on the occasion. The UP govt left no stone unturned to make the event a success, resulting in the programme gaining attention worldwide, said officials. Even on the third day after the conclusion of the ceremony, there was tremendous enthusiasm among the devotees. From 4am, devotees from all corners of the country began arriving for a glimpse of Ramlala. Despite the cold, people appeared willing to wait for hours.
Under the arrangements of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, devotees have been visiting since morning. Devotees are reaching the Ram temple via the Ram Janmabhoomi Path. Upon seeing the child form of Ramlala in the temple's sanctum, the devotees spontaneously chant "Jai Shri Ram".
The temple is adorned with grand flowers and lights. At night, the entire temple complex lights up. Devotees seem to have caught a selfie fever, eager to capture this beauty on their cameras. People appeared highly enthusiastic about taking selfies and photos in front of the Ram temple, on the Ram Path, and even in front of Hanuman Garhi and Kanak Bhawan.
Arvind Chaturvedi, a devotee from Madhya Pradesh, said that after 500 years, Ramlala has returned home. This was made possible due to PM Modi and CM Yogi. "Previously, no one could imagine that the Ram temple would be built and that we would be able to witness our deity so closely," he said. Mrinal Verma from Patna mentioned that Yogi and Modi have illuminated Ayodhya. He shared that their return ticket is for Friday, but the children are saying they want to stay in Ayodhya for another week.
Under the instructions of the UP govt, a heavy security force is deployed. Additionally, police and PAC personnel are vigilant at every corner. To ensure that devotees face no inconvenience, a large team of volunteers has been deployed. Facilities ranging from drinking water to wheelchairs are available. A separate queue has been made for the elderly and disabled individuals.
