BDC member shot, ‘killer’ arrested

Lucknow: A BDC member and MNREGA worker was sprayed with bullets by his rivals in Kakori area of Lucknow on Saturday afternoon.The victim, Ram Jeewan Lodhi (50), was attacked when he was returning home. The police recovered bullet shells and the bike of the deceased from the crime scene.ADCP West, CN Sinha said, “Ram Jeewan was shot three times and suffered injuries on his hands and head. He was rushed to the Trauma Centre of KGMU where he was pronounced dead,’ he said.The ADCP said Jeewan had enmity with one Shiva aka Shamsher Yadav, who is a former gram pradhan of the area. He has been arrested.
