Bid to train govt teachers in innovation

Lucknow: Several impactful state-level training programmes were organised by the UP govt to enhance quality of education and incorporate innovation in primary education. The initiatives aimed at empowering teachers with technical, academic and leadership skills to advance education system. Key institutions contributed significantly to these programmes. The training covered early childhood care and education (ECCE), foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN), digital education, school leadership and financial management for teachers and headmasters.The master trainer programme for early childhood care and education was held in two phases at SIRD from Apr 7-12 and Apr 21-26. Master Trainer programme for grades 1 to 5 is on at SIEMAT until May 3. Special training on school leadership, ICT integration, and financial management is being conducted for headmasters at SIEMAT Prayagraj and Lucknow from Apr 10 to 30. Further, nodal teachers are receiving training at the DIET level on digital tools, smart classroom management and online educational material development from Apr 15 to 30. Basic education minister Sandeep Singh said, "The impact of these efforts is now visible in classrooms, where teaching is becoming more effective, interactive and student-centric."
