BJP files plaint against Atiq

Kanpur: The city unit of the BJP lodged a complaint against former MP Atiq Ahmad on Friday, accusing him of using alleged ‘abusive language’ against the prime minister at a public meeting in Babupurwa area of the city, on Thursday. A delegation of BJP leaders, including the BJP city chief Surendra Maithani, met district magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma and submitted a written complaint. “We have seen the abusive content of Atiq Ahmad against the PM. We strongly condemn the language used by him and have asked the DM to initiate necessary action against Ahmad in this regard,” said Maithani. tnn
