Lucknow: Traffic cop caught red-handed for taking bribe in Gomtinagar

LUCKNOW: IG Lucknow zone A Satish Ganesh on Tuesday caught a traffic head constable red-handed while accepting

bribe

from an commuter at 1090 crossing. Ganesh stopped after noticing that Ram Prakash Singh was checking registration papers of a biker and taking Rs 100 from him.

Earlier, after an inspection of SSP office near Surajkund Park, Ganesh suspended four constables for not being in uniform and a clerk for laxity. Eight clerks were served notice for arriving late. No senior officer including the SSP was present in the office. Ganesh himself sat down and attended to a number of complainants .
