Governor, CM Yogi, colleagues attend special screening of film on Lord Krishna
Lucknow: Governor Anandiben Patel and chief minister Yogi Adityanath watched Krishnavataram, a film based on Krishna’s journey in life, at the Lok Bhawan auditorium on Sunday evening, joined by ministers and elected representatives. Newly inducted ministers also attended after taking oath earlier in the day.
The state govt has declared the film tax-free. Adityanath directed the information department to organise special screenings in every district in the coming days, saying children and youth should learn about Sanatan culture and its legacy through the film.
The chief minister also praised Sanskruti, the Governor’s granddaughter, for her role in the movie, saying it was a proud moment for any grandmother to see younger generations achieve success.
The auditorium echoed with chants of “Radhe Radhe” and “Krishna Krishna” before and during the screening. The film portrays Krishna’s life journey in human form and depicts key episodes from the Dwapar Yug, based on mythology associated with that era. The screening drew participation from senior officials and public representatives.
