Hassan shines in CAL’s winover Faridabad

Lucknow: The Cricket Association Lucknow (CAL) defeated Faridabad, Haryana, team by six wickets in the first semifinal of the Gautam Budh All-India Cricket Tournament played in Siddharthnagar on Monday.The seven-wicket haul by the Man of the Match Hassan Akhtar and half-centuries by Aatif Sajid and Shivam Pandey were the main highlights of the match.Faridabad, Haryana won the toss and opted for batting, but were all out for 142 in 24.3 overs. Rohan Deshwal, Yuvak Kundu and Chetan Sharma contributed 37, 20 and 30 runs for their team. For CAL, Hassan Akhtar claimed seven wickets in 4.4 overs giving just seven runs. Captain Vipraj Nigam claimed one wicket.In reply, CAL chased the target in 21.5 overs for the fall of four wickets. Aatif Sajid scored 55 off 35 balls and Shivam Pandey made 52 runs off 58 balls. For Haryana, Piyush and Chetan took one wicket each.
