Insights on Father of the Constitution

Lucknow: Several programmes were organized to remember the contribution of the father of Indian Constitution Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar on Friday. A quiz competition was organized at UP State Archeology Directorate which was based on the life and contribution of Ambedkar.Later, some underprivileged kids were given a tour of Chattar Manzil and Farhat Baksh Kothi. Superintendent Archeologist Archeological Survey of India Aftab Hussain was the chief guest during the programme.At King George’s Medical University, the people were made aware about Ambedkar’s contribution in nation building. Vice-chancellor, KGMU, Lt General (r0etd) Prof Bipin Puri while addressing the students and faculty members said that Ambedkar is a role model and inspiration to everybody regardless of class, caste or religion.At Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Samajik Parivartan Sthal, a cultural programme ‘Smaranjali’ was organized by Lucknow Development Authority in association with Department of Culture where Pawa band from Mumbai performed bhim songs. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University organized an exhibition of archives and paintings.
