Kaiserganj election results 2024 live updates:BJP's Karan Bhushan Singh wins

NEW DELHI: The counting of votes is underway for Kaiserganj Lok Sabha election 2024 in Uttar Pradesh. It comprises of five Vidhan Sabha segments: Payagpur, Kaiserganj, Katra Bazar, Colonelganj, and Tarabganj.

Kaiserganj constituency went into polling in the fifth phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, on May 20th. Voter turnout was recorded at 55.68 per cent.

Key Candidates: Notable candidates include Bharat Ram Mishra of the Samajwadi Party and Karan Bhushan Singh of the Bharatiya Janata Party. By a wide margin, Brijbhusan Sharan Singh won the 2019 competition. The election story in Kaiserganj gains a personal touch with the entry of Karan Bhushan Singh. Singh's campaign appeals to local sentiments because he is the son of a well-known politician, which is likely to lead to a highly watched election contest.

The Kaiserganj seat has been held by the BJP in the last two Lok Sabha elections. Brijbhushan Sharan Singh has won the seat in 2019 and 2014 as well as in 2009.

2019: 2019 saw Brijbhushan defeat Chandradev Ram Yadav of the BSP, With 5,80,226 votes, BJP candidate Brijbhusan Sharan Singh prevailed in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

2014: Chandradev Ram Yadav of the BSP party finished first. The winning margin was 2,60,808 votes. Vinod Kumar of the Samajwadi Party finished second in 2014.
