NEW DELHI: The counting of votes is done for the Lalganj Lok Sabha election 2024. Five segments comprise its assembly constituency. These gatherings take place in districts Azamgarh (5).
Lalganj, designated as the 68th Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh, is unique in that it is an Azamgarh district reserved seat for Scheduled Castes.
SP's Daroga Prasad Saroj won with a margin of 1,15,023 votes against BJP's Neelam Sonker.

Lalganj constituency went into polling in the sixth phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, on May 25th. Voter turnout was recorded at 54.38 per cent.
2014: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate, Neelam Sonkar, garnered 73,865 votes, emerging as the leading candidate in this constituency. The Samajwadi Party (SP) fielded Bechai Saroj, who secured 73,259 votes, closely trailing the BJP candidate.

Sangeeta Azad, the BSP candidate, received 5,18,820 votes and won the 2019 General Election by a margin of 1,61,597 votes. Sangeeta Azad triumphed over BJP candidate Neelam Sonker, who received 3,57,223 votes.
