Late marksheets hit fee payment at LU
Lucknow: Over 180 undergraduate students pursuing management courses from Lucknow University have been unable to pay the next semester’s fee due to the delay in issuance of marksheets.
As part of the admission formalities, students have to upload a scanned copy of their marksheet on the online portal they use to pay the fee.
While the last date to pay the fee was April 10, these students got their marksheets only on April 9. The semester examinations were held in January.
LU accepts only online fee payment for these courses.
Several students gheraoed the registrar’s office on Thursday demanding that the last date of fee payment be extended.
“We would have paid the fees on time, but it was not possible without a marksheet. If the university was late in issuing marksheets, why should we suffer for it,” said Arti Jaiswal, a student of LU.
Another LU student, Neha Pant, said, “ After April 10, the portal was shut and we weren’t able to pay the fee even when the authorities were aware about the delay.”
LU spokesperson, NK Pandey, said, “Students need not to worry about fee submission. The online portal will be opened for them to complete the admission process for the next semester.”
