According to the police, Ajay Shankar Shukla was returning home from chandrika Devi temple and when he reached gcrg college miscreants waylaid him and later attacked him then fled.

Shukla has suffered gunshot injury on the chest, said the police. Passers by informed police about a priest lying in a pool of blood.

Then the police reached the spot and got him admitted to KGMU trauma.

SP (rural) Gaurav Grover said that his son Anand has lodged an fir against Unidentified miscreants. Shukla's condition is serious and he is undergoing treatment at KGMU
