Punjab & Haryana HC beat SC to clinch advocates’ tourney

Lucknow: The Punjab & Haryana High Court clinched the title to win the All-India Advocates Cricket Tournament for the first time, on Sunday. In a resounding victory, the Punjab & Haryana High Court trounced the Supreme Court by an impressive margin of 126 runs, showcasing their cricketing prowess and asserting their dominance on the field.
Batting first, Gaurav Bidhuri's (124) century and half-centuries by Shivam (54) and Rajbir Panwar (50) guided Punjab and Haryana HC to post a good total 325/7 in stipulated overs. In reply, the Supreme Court couldn't chase the target and the team were all out at 199 in 28.4 overs.
In another plate final match, Lucknow Advocates Cricket Association (LACA) emerged victorious over Bombay High Court by 74 runs. Batting first, LACA Abhishek Mishra missed his fifty by only one run off 44 balls followed by Kunal Yadav who contributed 46 runs to put a fighting total of 171/8 in 25 overs. In reply, Bombay HC were all out at 99 in 20.3 overs.
