Sant Kabir Nagar tops UP IGRS rankings for 12th consecutive time in grievance disposal
LUCKNOW: Sant Kabir Nagar district has secured the first rank in Uttar Pradesh in the disposal of public grievances received through the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) portal for May 2026, marking the 12th consecutive time the district has topped the state rankings.
According to an official statement issued by the district police, the achievement has been attributed to continuous monitoring of complaints and an emphasis on quality disposal under the leadership of Superintendent of Police Sandeep Kumar Meena.
Officials said all station house officers and police personnel had been directed to maintain a positive approach towards complainants, ensure courteous behaviour, and take action strictly on merit after examining the facts of each case. The focus has been on resolving complaints in a transparent, impartial, and time-bound manner.
The IGRS portal serves as an online platform for citizens to submit grievances, which are required to be resolved within a stipulated period. Police officials said investigating officers conduct field inquiries, interact with concerned parties, and submit detailed reports before action is taken in accordance with legal provisions.
The district administration and senior police officers continuously monitor all references received from government departments and supervisory authorities through the portal. Investigation reports are scrutinised thoroughly, and cases are sent back for reinvestigation whenever findings are found to be inadequate or not supported by evidence.
Police said that in the May 2026 monthly rankings, nine out of the district’s ten police stations secured the first position in their respective categories at the state level, with the exception of Dharmsinghwa police station.
Officials described the achievement as a reflection of sustained efforts towards citizen-centric policing and effective grievance redressal.
SP Meena has directed all officers to continue working with the same commitment to maintain high standards in public service delivery and ensure prompt resolution of complaints in future.
