NEW DELHI: Two men were killed and one injured when a speeding truck crashed into a petrol pump's boundary wall near Talbehat on the Jhansi-Lalitpur highway in Uttar Pradesh early Saturday around 5.30 am.
The truck was traveling from Lalitpur to Jhansi when the driver lost control near Bamori village, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and collide with the wall.
"As the vehicle reached near Bamori village, the driver reportedly lost control, causing the truck to veer off the road and ram into the petrol pump's wall. The vehicle was severely damaged in the collision, crushing the people inside with iron rods and other items it was transporting," said Talbehat SHO Manoj Kumar Mishra.
Rajkumar Sahariya, 35, and Ramesh Pal, 40, both residents of Bighakhet village, died at the scene. Ravi, 18, also from Bighakhet village, is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.Get the latest lifestyle updates on Times of India, along with
