NEW DELHI: Shahrukh Pathan, a sharpshooter associated with the gang of gangster Sanjeev Maheshwari Jeeva and mafia don Mukhtar Ansari, was killed in an encounter by the Meerut Special Task Force (STF). Pathan had opened fire on the police, discharging more than 10 rounds, before being shot dead in retaliatory firing by the STF.
More than a dozen criminal cases were registered against him. At the scene, STF recovered three pistols, over 60 rounds of ammunition, and a car. A 9 mm country-made pistol was also recovered from Shahrukh Pathan.
