Lucknow: Karnataka defeated Hyderabad by a close margin of two runs in the 2nd edition of the Sardar Patel National Divyang T-20 Cup played at Dr Akhilesh Das Stadium on Wednesday.
Batting first, Karnataka were all out for 59 runs. Santosh R scored 18 runs (3 boundaries) while Shivashankara contributed 14 runs to his team. In reply, Hyderabad were all out for 57 runs. S Kumar scored 18 runs. S Prashant of Hyderabad, who took five wickets, was named man of the match.
Vidarbha also wiped out Punjab by 9 wickets while hosts Uttar Pradesh beat Bihar by 7 wickets.
In UP versus Bihar match, the visitors were all out for 100 runs. UP chased the target easily in 14 overs. For UP, Ankit scored 48 runs hitting four boundaries while Pankaj made 36. UP’s Vimal Parmar was named man of the match.
Jammu & Kashmir trounced Chhattisgarh by 108 runs at KD Singh Babu Stadium.
Jammu & Kashmir scored 163 runs at the loss of 8 wickets. Batting first, Nikhil Manas and Nadeem Ahmad scored 35 and 34 runs, respectively. Manzoor Ahmad and Nadeem Ahmad took 5 wickets each.
In reply, Chhattisgarh were bundled out for 55 runs. Nadeem Ahmad of J&K was named man of the match.
In another match, Delhi trounced Andhra Pradesh by 22 runs. Gujarat also defeated Chandigarh by 49 runs. Batting first, Gujarat scored 93 runs at the loss of 7 wickets. Sarfaraz scored 23 while Rajeev Mishra made 18. Mukhtar Bihari of Gujarat claimed 6 wickets and was named the man of the match. Chandigarh were all out for 44. In another match, Rajasthan battered Himachal Pradesh by 6 wickets. In the last match of the day, Madhya Pradesh beat Baroda by 5 wickets.tnn
