UP: Temple trust chief’s disciple kills self in mutt

AYODHYA: A disciple of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra president Nritya Gopal Das committed suicide in the premises of Maniram Chawni temple on Saturday.

The deceased, Sadhu Hari Bhajan Das (45), slit his throat with a sharpedged weapon and reportedly went to a nearby medical shop to inform about his suicide attempt. He was immediately rushed to a hospital, but succumbed to injuries during treatment. He had been staying at Maniram Chawni temple for the last 20 years, said locals.

According to Mahant Kamal Nayan Das, the deputy of Nritya Gopal Das, said Hari Bhajan was serving at the temple for the past several years after shifting to UP from Somnath in Gujarat.
