LUDHIANA: The results of Common Admission Test (CAT), 2022 were declared late evening on Wednesday. While the test this year seemed difficult to the aspirants, Ludhiana residents have brought many laurels in the famous examination conducted for admission into MBA programmes at the prestigious Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs).

Many aspirants from the city have secured 98 and above percentile, this year. Aashray Jain has topped the district with 99.89 percentile, and is closely followed by Nilesh Bansal at 99.87 percentile. Both achieved the feat in their second attempt.

Other scores include Apoorva Gupta, a BSc Chemistry student at IISER, and Sanya Singla, BCom student at Sri Aurobindo College, both at 98.7 percentile. Parth Hari Singhania, BCom student at Christ scored 98.42 percentile, and Chirag Aggarwal, a BTech student at BITS scored 98.22 percentile.

The CAT results are the basic criterion for admission into top IIMs. Once cut-offs for the IIMs and other management institutes are released, the passing aspirants will then appear for group discussions, personal interviews and essay writing tests.
