DMCH celebrate World Health Day
Ludhiana: Department of Dietetics, DMCH, celebrated World Health Day on the theme ‘Healthy Packed Lunch for Working Adults’. The chief guest on the occasion was secretary of DMCH Managing Society Prem Kumar Gupta. Principal Sandeep Puri, vice-principal GS Wander, dean academics Rajoo Singh Chhina, medical superintendents Sandeep Sharma and Ashwani Chaudhary were the chief guest at the function.
In his message, Prem Kumar Gupta lauded the efforts of ‘dietetics department’ in organising the function and spoke about the importance of healthy diet and the growing trend of eating junk food during working hours which affects the overall health. Principal Sandeep Puri said eating healthy and balanced diet is essential for leading a balanced and healthy life.
Dean academics Rajoo Singh Chhina spoke about the need to change the lifestyle. Various students participated in ‘recipe competition for packed lunch’ for working adults.
