Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh, since his unceremonious exit from the party in September last year. Amarinder served the Congress for more than 50 years, including 9.5 as CM. Amarinder is now candidate of his own
Punjab Lok Congress
from home constituency Patiala Urban, which his erstwhile royal family has served for more than 300 years.
Preneet Kaur came out on social media with a video in which she said: "I am with my family. The family is above everything. This is the major reason I have been sitting back home." Reports are that she sits with her husband's PLC-BJP campaign team behind closed doors and the Congress has served her a notice for alleged anti-party activities but she denies it and disputes a show-cause notice that appeared on a microblogging platform. She said: "I haven't got any show-cause notice, and the one that the media played up is from Twitter, which I hardly use."
The MP said: "Protocol requires that a show-cause notice should come from the Congress general secretary." A senior member of the PLC has claimed that

was to share a public stage with Amarinder at Sanaur on Thursday but she skipped that event. On November 24, the Patiala MP allegedly got a show-cause notice from the Congress over her "secret meetings" with the BJP-PLC combine.
