Mangaluru City Corporation building inaugurated

MANGALURU: District minister V Sunil Kumar inaugurated the zonal office building of the Mangaluru City Corporation at Surathkal. The building is built at a cost of Rs 4.3 crore. The minister said that a hi-tech zonal office has been set up in Surathkal.

Mangalore City North MLA Y Bharath Shetty said, “Emphasis is on digitisation in the zonal office. People can avail a token and get the services. The local corporators and officials will be available. It was a long pending demand of the people, to have a zonal office in Surathkal.”

Savarkar’s portrait unveiled

In the MLA’s office situated in the zonal office, MLA Bharath Shetty unveiled a portrait of Veer Savarkar.

Minister Sunil Kumar offered a floral tribute to the portrait. MCC council SDPI member Shamshad Abubakkar shouted slogans on the occasion. tnn
