Youth feared drowned in in Surathkal

MANGALURU: An 18-year-old youth is feared to have drowned at the Light House Beach in Surathkal on Saturday. City police commissioner N Shashi Kumar said that the missing person is Sathyam, a resident of Kana, and a final-year diploma student at KPT.

He along with his friend Prabhakaran,19, had been to the beach, and entered the sea, following which Sathyam was reported missing. While Prabhakaran swam to the shore. The local fishermen are searching for Sathyam, police said.
