MEERUT: An 11-year-old boy allegedly rapeda 4-year-old girl when she was alo- ne at her house in UP's Saharanpur on Friday. Police said the boy was appre hended and sent to a juvenile home. Doctors said the survivor was stable.
SP (city) Abhimanyu Manglik said, "The survivor's family lodged a compla int alleging attempted rape, while medi cal examinations substantiated sexual assault, which falls under the purview of rape. We will pursue the case under rape charges. The accused is the girl's neighbour. He has been taken into cus- tody and sent to a juvenile home after being presnted before court."
Manglik said, "The accused enticed the minor girl with chocolates and ra- ped her at her residence in a room, whe. re she was later found unconscious. The victim was alone at her house. Her pa- rents filed a police complaint at Gagal heri police station. An FIR under BNS section 65 (2) (punishment for rape on woman under 12 year of age) and under relevant sections of Pocso Act has been registered."
