MEERUT: Two teenage girls were seen having a physical altercation in a purported video that surfaced online on Wednesday from UP's Baghpat. Police suspect that the dispute probably arose over communication with 'the same boy'. These girls are in Class 10.


The incident occurred in Nagar Sarai town, under the jurisdiction of Singhawali Ahir police station. In the Nagar Sarai area, the incident involved schoolgirls who were having a verbal spat, which turned violent when both began slapping, dragging, kicking, and pulling each other's hair.

In the purported video, it can be seen that their friends were trying to pacify the altercation.

Additionally, bystanders in the marketplace recorded the incident on their mobile phones, which was subsequently shared on social media and widely circulated. Baghpat police began the initial probe, although no formal complaints were given to the cops.

Shiv Dutt, SHO of Singhawali police station, said that appropriate action will be taken once a complaint is filed. According to an eyewitness at the scene, the confrontation began when two girls were conversing with the same boy.

The disagreement escalated into a physical altercation in the marketplace, where the girls were seen pulling each other's hair and dragging each other.
