MUMBAI: A day after the

AAP

government is Delhi won a legal battle in the apex court in connection with its administrative powers, the party's national executive member, Preeti Sharma Menon, accused the city police of dragging its feet in a case of road rage.


Menon said a

taxi driver

snatched her car key after the vehicle brushed against his cab. "I directed my driver to tell the cabbie that I would help him get his insurance claim. However, he opened the car door and yanked the car key," Menon told TOI. She later managed to get hold of her key again.

Menon said when she called the

helpline number

(100) the operator kept asking for her address though she said she was on Veera Desai Road. "The delay helped the taxi driver escape," she said. Menon tweeted about her experience. However, Bharat Gaikwad, senior inspector of Amboli police station, said they did not receive any complaint from Preeti. "Action will be initiated after we receive a complaint," said Gaikwad.
