Catch wildlife films at 3D theatre in Byculla zoo

MUMBAI: From February 1, content/documentaries will be screened in the newly created

3D theatre

located inside Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Udyan and

Zoo

, popularly known as Byculla zoo. The BMC has tied up with

wildlife

channel

Animal Planet

for the documentaries and will hold four shows daily.


Entry fee for the theatre has been fixed at Rs 50 per person; only BMC schoolchildren will not be charged, said civic officials.

The first show at the 200-seater theatre will be screened at 11am and the last one at 4pm every day.

The botanical gardens and zoo attracts more than 15,000 visitors on a weekday, and the number crosses 30,000 on weekends.

Municipal commissioner Ajoy Mehta said through these

wildlife documentaries

Mumbaikars will be able to learn about animals in their natural habitat.
