Thus, it is necessary that students are sensitized about human rights, democratic values, respect for diversity and equality, and respect for privacy and dignity of others,” said the circular.
Principals welcomed the guidelines even as schools have already been making efforts to ensure there are no cases of bullying or ragging. “Schools are aware of these problems but when guidelines are issued, the efforts become focused,” said Seema Saini, principal, N L Dalmia School, Mira Road.
