(MBEF), presented by
Bombay Times. Starting today, the festival, which will be held on the last weekend of every month till May, will feature a mix of the best events and performances. The opening ceremony will be graced by Chief Minister of Maharashtra,
Devendra Fadnavis,
Nitin Gadkari (Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India), Valsa Nair-Singh (Principal Secretary
Tourism
and Culture, Government of Maharashtra) and Sanjay Bhatia (Chairman, Mumbai Port Trust) at Ballard Estate.

Sanjay says, “Mumbai’s Ballard Estate Festival is going to be the new design, entertainment and experience district for the city of Mumbai. It is the only heritage area which has the kind of roads and the kind of experience. The Mumbai Port Trust is happy to host the festival, which is for the citizens of Mumbai, for them to feel a sense of pride about their city. I am very happy to initiate the festival.”
Adds Valsa, “Maharashtra tourism is happy to support Mumbai’s Ballard Estate Festival because festivals like these are great attraction for tourists; it is a great experience for citizens of the city and also a wonderful way to highlight the architectural heritage of the city.”
