Ganpat's supporters demand for BJP candidate in Kalyan Loksabha, Sena demand action on BJP workers

On Saturday evening supporters of BJP MLA Ganpat Gaikwad, who is in jail in the firing case on Shiv Sena leader Mahesh Gaikwad, in a program organized by the party, raised slogans against Kalyan MP and chief minister's son Dr Shrikant Shinde.

Ganpat's supporters demanded that Kalyan Loksabha seat should be given to BJP. Currently Shrikant Shinde, two times MP from Kalyan is likely to be fielded from Shiv Sena.

Taking the statements made by Ganpat Gaikwad's supporters against Shrikant on Friday, Kalyan District President of Shiv Sena (Shinde) has demanded action from senior BJP leaders against the supporters of Ganpat Gaikwad claiming they are disrupting the Mahayuti.

Kalyan Lok Sabha MP Dr Shrikant Shinde has started campaigning vigorously for the Lok Sabha elections for the third time and BJP minister Ravindra Chavan, MLAs, local officials are participating in his campaign.

On the other hand, supporters of Kalyan East MLA Ganpat Gaikwad, who had done firing at the Shiv Sena's Kalyan (East) city chief Mahesh Gaikwad inside the police station in February, are campaigning against him.

Landge has warned that Gaikwad's supporters should not be under the illusion that Ganpat Gaikwad will get bail by defaming Shrikant Shinde, and senior BJP officials should pay serious attention to this type of mischief in the alliance.

Landge said that senior BJP leaders should take the statements made by Ganpat's workers seriously and rein them in, otherwise it may affect the surrounding seats as well.
