Industries to get power duty sops

state

government has given sops to

industries

in Maharastra in its budget by proposing to reduce the

electricity

duty on industrial use. The objective is to ensure that industries do not move out of the state.

The budget stated: “To promote industries in the state, the govenment proposed to reduce the electricity

duty

on industrial use from 9.3% to 7.5% of the consumption charges.” No change is proposed for any other category.tnn
