Man in Mumbai arrested for murder of wife’s paramour

Mumbai: A 30-year-old man has been arrested by Wadala Police for the murder of his wife’s paramour. The incident occurred near Reay Road railway station.

Police said the accused’s wife had separated from him and moved in with her paramour, Ansar Shaikh. The accused was livid when he found out about the relationship.

On May 27, between 10 pm and 10.15 pm, the accused confronted Shaikh near Reay Road railway station. The two had a heated exchange of words following which the accused rained kicks and blows on Shaikh. He also flung Shaikh on the ground. Even after Shaikh lost consciousness, the accused bludgeoned him to death with stones.

Police subsequently registered a case of murder against the accused and took him into custody.
