Mumbai: Lalbaug bridge crash kills biker, truck driver arrested

MUMBAI: A 26-year-old biker was killed when a speeding truck rammed into him on the Lalbaug Bridge on Monday.
The deceased identified as Tipanna Shankar Appa, a resident of Dharavi suffered severe injuries in the collision.

He was immediately rushed to KEM Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

According to the police the truck driver identified as Gamma Prasad (52) has been detained by the Kalachowky police and his blood samples have been sent for medical examination.

A case has been registered against the driver for causing death due to negligence and further investigation is underway.
