1 dead in Turbhe fire
One person died after a major fire broke out at an ink manufacturing unit at Turbhe in Navi Mumbai on Sunday. The incident occurred in Ambedkar Nagar locality in the morning. "It is a ground-plus-one floor structure. The Navi Mumbai fire department received an alert call around 8:15 am. Around 12 fire tenders and 10 to 12 water tankers were rushed to the spot. It took around eight hours to bring the blaze under control," an official said.
Vaccination at BKC

BMC's appeal to Mumbaikars
Even after repeated appeals by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation as well as the state government, Mumbaikars on Sunday flocked at vaccination centres across the city in a bid to get the jab at the earliest. On Sunday, the vaccination drive in the city was operational only for people in the age group of 18 to 44 years. Only those who had booked a slot for the day were asked to visit the centres. BMC officials took to Twitter to state that people have been flocking vaccination centres, pressurising medical staff to administer the vaccine to them. The civic body requested eligible beneficiaries to maintain decorum and follow protocol. "Sooner or later, everyone will be vaccinated. Please don't jump the queue. Today it's them, soon it will be you," the tweet read.
