Fadnavis on people's radar

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Maharashtra sparked fresh controversy after the nephew of former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was seen taking the COVID-19 vaccine. What did not go down well with people is that his nephew Tanmay Fadnavis is just 23-years-old and does not fit the criteria to get the jab yet. A picture of Tanmay being administered the vaccine in Nagpur went viral on the internet, which was first posted on social media from his own handle. However, soon after people started questioning his eligibility for the vaccine, he deleted the picture. People asked if he was a frontline worker or a healthcare service provider, and if not, then how did he get the vaccine, when the state is already facing a shortage.

This is important as a lot of people step outside and roam around in the name of purchasing groceries." He said that a notification regarding the same will be issued soon at the state government's level and not at the District Collector's level and that the shopkeepers will have to comply with the norms accordingly.
