The incident took place around 5:30 pm on Saturday as the passenger tried to board the moving train. A video of the incident has been shared by the Railways Commissioner of Police in Mumbai Quaiser Khalid to remind commuters and travellers how reckless commuting can prove fatal. The RPF officials will be awarded for the brave act, Khalid informed.

The woman, who was travelling by the train from

Bhavnagar

to Hyderabad along with her husband, had got down to have tea on the platform. However, soon the train started moving for further journey and the couple started running towards it. The woman slipped and fell down into the gap between the platform and the running train at Vasai Road railway station.

The clip shows the alert constable (who was close when the incident took place), along with other passengers rushing to help the woman and pulling her back immediately on the platform.

The woman has suffered multiple fractures and is being treated at a Vasai-based hospital.
