MUMBAI: City crime branch is on the lookout for disc jockey Chetas alias Chetas Shah after his name cropped up during investigations into a cricket betting racket.
Joint commissioner of police (crime) Milind Bharambe said they were verifying if he was only into placing bets or was part of the racket. “Our team is looking for him,” said Bharambe.

has also composed songs for some Bollywood movies.
Police arrested four persons since Friday. In the remand application filed in the magistrate’s court seeking custody of the accused on Tuesday, police mentioned that they were looking for six persons, including Chetas.
Crime intelligence unit on Friday, on specific information, raided a flat in Mulund and arrested Dipesh Jain, Piyush Jawarharbhai Ashaar and Dinesh Mehta. Police said they were taking bets online on an IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings. Police arrested Hardik Mataliya on Saturday.
Police seized 41 mobile phones, SIM cards, a tablet, two laptops, SIM cards, line boxes and Rs 1.8 lakh from the flat. All accused were booked under sections of IPC, Maharashtra Prevention of Gambling Act and Information Technology Act and were remanded in police custody. Police said they downloaded an app on which they were accepting bets over the phone. They had also downloaded Watch Now app and were accepting bets online. Police said most dealings were in cash or through hawala channels.
