Mumbai: The city crime branch on Thursday will file a chargesheet against five accused in the illegal
telephone exchange
racket that caused the exchequer a loss of more than Rs 100 crore.
The accused are Mohammed Nizam Khan, Shams Alam Shahid, Shahid Irani, Noor Mohammed Shaikh and Nasir Shaikh.
The police had seized 44 SIM boxes, each having multiple SIM connections, and 182 SIM cards, routers and laptop from
Govandi
and Trombay. The cost of each box is Rs 50,000 and they have been procured from
Hong Kong
