The Navy Foundation, Mumbai Chapter (NFMC), in collaboration with HQ Western Naval Command, organised the parade. The Governor extended his greetings to War veterans, Veer Naris and Ex Servicemen, demonstrating solidarity by walking alongside them. Notable participants included Commander Vijay Vadhera (Retd), NFMC President, and 92-year-old Captain Raj Mohindra (Retd), former NFMC President.

The annual Tri-Services Veterans Day on Jan 14 commemorates the retirement of Field Marshal KM Cariappa, the first Commander-in-Chief of independent India's Army, who concluded his distinguished service in 1953. The parade featured the Army band, NCC and SCC cadets, aiming to raise public awareness about veterans' distinguished service to the nation.

Army veteran Colonel Vijay Kumar presented "THE MUMBAI SALUTE" concept, featuring a trailer and performance by Music Director Merlyn Dsouza, highlighting the dedicated services of Unsung Heroes from various State departments who contribute to Mumbai's international recognition.
