MUMBAI: A film producer was booked recently for allegedly trying to run his car over his wife at the building parking lot where stays in Andheri (West).
Amboli police that registered a first information report (FIR) said they have booked Kamal Kishore Mishra for allegedly running his car over his wife's legs after she caught him with a model in the car. The incident occurred on October 18.
After learning about the FIR registered, Mishra has gone into hiding. The police team is searching for Mishra who has been booked under the IPC sections 279 (rash driving) and 337 (causing hurt by an act endangering the life or personal safety of others).
Meanwhile, the Joint Commissioner of Police (Law & Order) Vishwas Nangre Patil called the victim and assured her the accused will be booked under the IPC section 307 (attempt to murder).
In the complaint, Mishra's wife said: "I found my husband with another woman in our car when I came out looking for my husband. When I confronted him, he ran over me, trying to escape the location, and in the process injured me. The entire incident was captured in the CCTV cameras of the building’s parking area where I can be seen falling on the ground after being run over by the car.
An Amboli police officer said the case was registered on the victim complaining that her husband was committing adultery and he deliberately ran his car over her while escaping the spot after the confrontation. The victim is stable and has mostly injured her leg as the wheel of the car went over it.
Mishra is the producer of the Hindi film 'Dehati Disco'.
