Watchman, 2 others held for looting computers in Mumbai

MUMBAI: Taking advantage of

lockdown

, a couple teamed up with the watchman of a

civic school

in

Malad

(E) and looted 12 computers, besides CPUs and monitors.

Kurar police arrested the watchman, Shekhar Sawant (38), Hitesh Solanki (28) Ankita Jadhav, and recovered the loot. "The school had limited resources and getting the computers back was important for them," said detection officer Dhanesh Satardekar.

The school had been holding online classes during lockdown. When its management discovered the monitors were missing, they complained to police on December 9.
