MUMBAI: Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut took a dig at UP CM Yogi Adityanath, asking what was the need for him to do a road show in Mumbai to woo investment in UP.

Raut described Yogi’s road show as “political business.” He asked if the UP CM had come to Mumbai to do politics or to seek help from Mumbai’s industrialists for development of his state. Raut also took potshots at Yogi by asking if the Maharashtra CM and deputy CM would do a road show in Davos, where they are heading to attend the World Economic Forum meeting this month.

Reacting to Yogi’s meeting with members of the film industry, Raut said it would be naive if he feels the film industry will shift. “If he (Yogi) wants to make a Film City in UP, he should. But no one can take the film industry out of Mumbai,” Raut said. MPCC president Nana Patole criticized CM Eknath Shinde and deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis for “laying out a red carpet” for Yogi.
