Eid celebrated with fervour in Mysuru city

Mysuru: Special prayers were held across city mosques and Eidgah Maidans to mark the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the culmination of the fasting month of Ramadan, on Saturday.Many Muslims carried umbrellas to protect themselves from the scorching heat of the sun during the prayers, especially at the Eidgah Maidan in Tilak Nagar in the heart of the city. The celebration was vibrant and everyone present were seen exchanging greetings after the prayers.Sir Khazi of Mysore Hazrath Maulana Mohammed Usma Sherif led the prayers at Tilak Nagar where he gave a sermon about living in harmony and highlighted the importance of the celebration and then asked them to live in fear of Allah.Many prominent leaders, including MLA Tanveer Sait, corporator Ayub Khan, and others participated in special prayers.
