Encroached land reclaimed

Mysuru: The district administration on Tuesday reclaimed 1.17 acres of land in Metagalli which was acquired under Urban Land Ceiling Act. The drive was led by assistant commissioner KR Rakshith and tahsildar TN Girish. Officials said a few locals had stored M sand and other construction materials on the land. On Tuesday morning, accompanied by police security, the taluk administration removed the encroachment and reclaimed the land, which is believed to be worth Rs 20 crore. TNN
